Science Fiction Author Stanislaw Lem Dies

Noted science fiction author Stanislaw Lem died Monday, March 27 at a hospital in Krakow, Poland. He was 84.
Lem was a renowned author both in the United States and in his native Poland. He won the Polish State Prize for literature in 1976 and the Kafka award in 1991, in addition to other awards and accolades. Lem is best known for his 1961 novel “Solaris.”
